Junior Camp (Ages 2-5) and CHILDREN’S CAMP (Grades 1-6th )

Whoever thought camp could be this fun?  Enjoy your time at camp as you make new friends, learn from God’s Word, and experience fun the old-fashioned way!  Each day you will learn new skills, swim in our camp pool, enjoy some free time with your friends, and go wild in our camp games and activities!

TEEN CAMP; Grades 7-12th

Camp doesn’t have to end just because you’re a teen!  Day Camp Sunshine’s Teen Program is designed for young people entering 7th grade and older.  It offers many of the same programs as the Children’s Camp, but with more age-appropriate activities and more in-depth Bible studies.  Weekly field trips include the beach, natural and historical parks, and local area attractions.  Our mature staff connects with your teens, while encouraging them to make new friends, learn new skills, and develop a closer relationship with God.

Counselors:  A staff of dedicated and responsible Christians, consisting of teachers, college students and mature high school students is carefully chosen to carry out our philosophy of camping.  Our staff is part of what makes our camp so special.  The friendships formed between camp staff and campers are genuine and lasting.  Campers want to return and continue the friendships formed at Day Camp Sunshine.

NOTE TO PARENTS:

We care about the overall health and safety of your child.  Children are under the supervision of trained counselors at all times.  Counselors are trained in camp programming, child development, and emergency procedures.  All counselors must go through a screening process, which includes reference and background checks.  Campers are put into groups according to grade and gender.  Two staff members work with each group, and the ratio of counselors to campers is approximately 1:8.

Day Camp Sunshine is certified by the State of New Jersey and undergoes inspections by the Local and State Officials to ensure compliance with State and Local guidelines. Lifeguards are on duty during all swimming and water activities.  Certified First Aid and CPR personnel are on duty throughout the day.  Day Camp Sunshine establishes agreements with nearby medical clinics to handle minor injuries (with parents consent), and the Liberty Corner First Aid Squad, located across the street, is called for serious injuries. We are also a member in good standing with Christian Camp and Conference Association.
